Running more than one program at a time

  • Windows Vista is a ‘Multitasking’ operating system.  This means that it can run lots of programs at the same time.  For instance you can be receiving emails, printing and writing a letter, all the same time.  You can run lots of different programs simultaneously, such as a word processor, a spreadsheet, a database and a picture editing program.
